Andy Kessler w/two board quiver and pre-yup-whip on River Street. The last time we crossed paths he had a copy of Andrew Kidman's 'Last Hope' in his hands. It was Friday August 9, 2009 and Kess was on his way to Montauk for the weekend. He spoke of recent sesh at a secluded spot where he got caught inside and royally worked over. It was early in the season for 'this kind of punishment' and was pumped to get himself into heavier situations come September. His quiver was coming together (not these boards), he was getting in better shape, paddling more and feeling confident. He died three days later. Don't take 'this' for granted, go call or kiss a loved one. KESS LIVES (S.A.F.)
